Even after taking his three courses, I’m still unsure if he’s (Ujaval) a better teacher or geospatial analyst. Maybe it’s just best to say he’s the spatial teacher (pun intended). In this course I had the opportunity to interact with him, the class and his very talented collaborator Vigna receiving answers to all the questions asked. A couple of months ago, I was battling with my intention to switch to the use of an open source software for GIS. The zoom / instructor led activities is a far more effective approach than self paced tutorials as you get immediate feed back on problems encountered. Being a researcher working on environment and development issues, I would recommend this course not just to amateur mappers and experts in biophysical sciences, but especially to social scientists who can hugely benefit from spatial and quantitative analysis!

This course covers ambitious but do-able objectives for learning the power of QGIS to accomplish geospatial mapping and data analysis. A great Learning experience to understand the QGIS basics and got a good idea on the customization of QGIS using python. the class was very interactive and learned a lot.

This course covered a lot of ground, but by using judicious examples it was easy to follow. The class was small enough that the instructor was able to provide individual help when students had trouble, and the instructor made a real effort to keep the class together as it advanced through the material. I had a computer glitch, and the instructor took the trouble to bring me up to where the class was during a break.

The course has been helpful in teaching me how to interface Python with QGIS and also gave me suggestions how to work with GUIs in Python with Qt in general. The pace of the course is steady but in no way too fast and everything works well in the digital format.

Mastering GDAL Tools is one of the best courses I have received. Is incredible how powerful this command line tools are. After this course I was able to solve several problems in simple bash scripts and convert data easily. I was able to re-write several workflows like download and processing of GIS data that has taken me hundreds of lines in the python and setting several libraries, all with simple isolated bash scripts. Agentic Coding for Geospatial gave me a working method. During the course I used an AI coding agent to build a complete building-detection pipeline end to end in a Colab notebook: tiling a very high-resolution drone orthomosaic (3cm), reprojecting each tile to its local UTM zone, resampling to match a pre-trained GeoAI model’s training resolution, running inference, and saving the results as GeoJSON. When the pipeline produced zero detections partway through, the agent diagnosed the actual cause, tiles that had shrunk below the model’s working size after resampling, rather than papering over it, and fixed it. That is the kind of practical, tool-grounded workflow I was looking for. I recommend the course to anyone doing applied GIS work who wants to move faster without losing rigor.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning GEE from scratch with spatialthoughts. The course was well structured , moving seamlessly from simple to complex topics. For a beginner in GEE looking out for comprehensive foundation course, this End-to-End GEE training stands out because how the course moves gradually from covering basics and slowly becoming a bit challenging. It does however require quite of self-practice to get used to in GEE, with diverse self-exploratory materials available from them.
