You can sponsor candidates to attend our live instructor-led certification courses. Each batch of our live training courses has two free seats reserved for scholarships. We receive a large number of applications for those spots. Sponsors make it possible for us to say yes to more of them.

Most of our sponsors are Spatial Thoughts alumni who got value from their training and want to pass that forward. Others are GIS professionals, academics, and organizations who believe geospatial skills should be more accessible.

How it works

    Fill the sponsorship interest form below. We send you an invoice for the amount you have chosen.

  2. We select the candidate

    From our scholarship applicant pool, we select someone with the background to benefit from the course and the motivation to use it. Preference goes to community contributors who will pass the knowledge on.

  3. We keep you in the loop

    Your contribution remains anonymous but you will get an update on who your sponsorship helped.

I come from Nicaragua, and growing up my mother always told my brothers and me that her legacy would not be money or property, but education and life experiences. Thanks to scholarships and the kindness of many people who supported me along the way, I was able to complete a master’s degree and I am now pursuing a PhD. I would not have reached this point alone. This scholarship came at a pivotal moment in my career, as I was seeking to strengthen my foundational knowledge of geospatial analysis.
